Despite the difficult weather, Willenhall played a strong game, particularly with their rucking and mauling. Rugeley struggled to adapt to the weather and suffered an early setback when Sam Micklewright was forced to leave the field due to a heavy tackle.
Despite the challenges, Rugeley fought hard and put in some strong tackling and running plays. This led to three tries for the team, two by Blake and one by Jayden. Unfortunately, Willenhall had taken an early lead in the first half, scoring four tries while playing with the advantage of the slope.
In the second half, Rugeley took advantage of the slope and fought back, with Blake scoring two more tries. Jayden B also powered over for a try in the final minutes of the game. Despite their efforts, Willenhall ultimately came out on top, with a final score of 7-3. It was a tough loss for Rugeley, but they can take pride in their resilience and determination in the face of difficult weather conditions.
