Arriving to trentham expecting to see a hard game as the opposition looked like a well drilled side and more experienced and we assumed we were in for a very tough morning.
How wrong we were!!!!
Straight from the off tries were scored by both teams repeatedly, using our strengths to our advantage! With quality offloading and powerful running we achieved what I can only describe as a successful morning of rugby.
The minions should be really proud of what they did today. I’ve never seen that kind of passion and commitment in a all my time coaching them.
Man of the match is Ethan Salt
(The tractor) for his outstanding effort and his fight to go forward
Sportsmanship award goes to Hayden terry because after every tackle he made he made sure his opponent was ok and even helped them up. Well done!!
Hayden Terry- fantastic running scoring numerous tries in all three games.
Hayden Hiscox- made some brilliant off the mark tackles and great passes! Took our advice and defended well and ran forward!!
Cain Turton- great offloading and taking contact with the ball. Even managed to bag himself a try running half the pitch through every player.
Maci Ensor- great effort taking the ball into contact and making yards running into the shoulders of the opposition.
Ethan Salt- as enthusiastic as ever has been named the tractor by the opposition because of his hard running with 4 players hanging off him and scoring! Well done.
Next week the u9s. Have a home game vs Cannock.
Ollie Goss- once again is very determined and passionate about his team. Some great runs and support play. A great rugby future coming his way!
Alfie Wilson- a very quiet start this week but once involved he was untouchable. Finding gaps and scoring whenever he wanted.
Look forward to our next game to find out how much we’ve improved as a team!! Well done guys!!!!
