Its great to be back. We have set out on this page what you need to know for the season ahead.

Welcome to the season 2022-23.

We intend to keep rugby as a fun pastime for the children and to help them develop their sporting and social skills.

If you have a child who would like to play call Martin on 07889088558

Rugby Matches

We are finalising our programme of fixtures and our fixture Secretary Rob Blount will shortly add the dates to our website: www.rugeleyrugby.com

Safeguarding
Elise Ainger is our Safeguarding manager and Martin de Ridder is her deputy.

If you have any safeguarding concerns whatsoever then please call Elise +44 7434 999519 or Martin on 07889088558

Registering as a player

All mini and junior players and parents have to register to the club using England Rugby’s online system.

Most in this age group will have done it last year but you will need to renew it for this season.

They now call it “Affiliating”.

The link is below. If forgot password you can re-set.

If doing it for the first time please remember you are registering yourself as a parent first.

It can be a bit clunky and I can help if you are struggling. RFU emails have a bad habit of going to junk folder so if you are sent an email please check in there:

Family Membership and annual fees

We have always wanted rugby too be as accessible as possible. For as long as we possibly were able to do so we have kept rugby free.

However, in recent years we have introduced a small annual fee.

We need to make sure we at least aim to break even on the rugby front each year and this year is particularly financially challenging as we face our gas and electricity bills increasing by x3.5.

With that in mind we have decided to increase our subs/fees to £30 for the year. This is the price per family not per player so if you have 4 family members playing it will still cost £30.

We never want money to be the reason anybody doesn’t play. If this fee causes you an issue just let me know confidentially and we won’t charge it. You won’t be treated any differently.

The link for the annual subs which we call the Junior Section Family Season ticket is here.

Membership Benefits

Being a member of the club gives you a 30% discount in the Chase Pub on Food!!! We’re also looking to do similar deals with other local businesses. We will give you a membership card and you just show it to the bar staff when you place your order.

Volunteers

We are always looking for volunteers in particular to help with coaching and with running our kitchen on a Sunday morning. You don’t need to commit to doing it every week. Even if you did it once over the whole season it would help us a lot.

Fundraising
We have a monthly raffle. Top prize is £100. Second prize is a £25 voucher to use in the chase pub. It costs £5 per month and all the money raised goes towards kit and equipment.
