On Sunday, Rugeley Rugby Club hosted it's inaugural Rugby Olympics. The event was attended by over 50 players ranging from Under 6 up to Under 16. Following a mass warm up, the morning saw all the players compete in mixed age group teams, across six events to be crowned champions. They had to conquer an assault course; deliver accurate kicking; demonstrate accurate passing; show agility with a cone flipping stand; prove they had the most powerful tackle; and show they were a marksman with a Nerf Gun.

After an hour and a half of non-stop competition, Team 3 walked away worthy winners and lifted the trophy in front of teammates, friends and families.

In the afternoon the slip and slide was brought out, the BBQ was fired up and the weather was enjoyed, with a picnic in the sun!

A huge thanks to everyone who made the day a success. The players for getting stuck in; parents and guardians for supporting the platers; and finally all the coaches and volunteers who made the day the success it was. We'll be back next year, bigger and better!
