From the offset Rugeley dominated and was able to score a try by Jamie Simmons within 6 minutes of the first kick.

Quickly followed by Nathan Homer with his first of two tries of the game, Rugeley’s game continued to dominate at the oppositions cost.
Rugeley’s forwards were by far superior in the scrumages so much so the visitors requested that all scrums be uncontested, Rugeley agreed to this but as at the beginning the Trentham forwards could not hold the home team.
The Rugeley Set Piece line outs where once again far away the more productive with Robby Castles playing a pivotal part in Rugeley’s success.
Half way through the first period of play up popped Cei Griffin "still hurting from the morning world cup match agaianst the French" took the ball from the opposition and scored the first of his two tries right under the posts (Pictured).
The visitors did on occasions cause Rugeley A couple of worrying moments when they were able to come back at the home team they were able to score, but unable to continue their domination Rugeley's Side proved far too strong for the visitors.

Even the Regimented Matt Williscroft - Club captain was able to score, and was instrumental in his leadership of keeping the home side under control, not allowing the visitors to intimidate the home side.

With tries and conversions Rugeley came away the victors,a game that will be quickly posted as not one of the friendliest that Rugeley will be play this season.
